The Facts
Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton met last night in Pennsylvania for a debate prior to the primary there next Tuesday. The debate was aired on ABC and lasted two hours.
My View
Ho-hum! That is just about all you can say about it. I do not believe a single new thing came out of it, except maybe a small amount of additional details about what both candidates have been saying already. I looked at one poll this morning on CNN’s web site that asked would more debates help narrow down your choice for President and 88% of the poll voters said “No”. It’s obvious that all three remaining candidates have had their say on how they would perform the job as President, and hardly anyone except the news media is interested anymore in what more they have to say. As in the past, all the candidates are spouting off about what they will do once in office, but everyone knows they would have to be in office for 20 years or more with a lot of corporation from Congress to get all those things done. And most of them know that in reality they have to look at just 4 years of opportunity, therefore, they are going to focus on their pet project which, in most cases, will not really benefit the average American. So here we go again with not voting for someone, but against someone. Welcome to modern day Presidential politics.
